This session explores effective assessment strategies for AI-enhanced activities and assignments. You will examine diverse assessment approaches specifically designed for AI-enhanced coursework. Through practical demonstrations and collaborative discussion, you will consider methods for evaluating AI-assisted student work. You will also explore the use of AI in developing rubrics and authentic assessments that measure learning outcomes in this evolving landscape.
Objectives:
• Examine diverse assessment approaches specifically designed for AI-enhanced coursework.
• Use an AI Assessment Scale to identify the desired level of AI use in a specific assignment and consider ways to communicate those expectations to students.
• After viewing exemplars and demonstrations, discussion methods for thoughtfully evaluating AI-assisted student work.
• Use AI to develop rubrics and design authentic assessments that meaningfully measure learning outcomes in the evolving landscape of AI.
